Lorraine Shearer, reporter for The Orcadian newspaper, decided to put The Dream Oracle to the test, following which, she had a feature article published.

In the article Lorraine states, "I dream regularly and quite often have vivid memories, so I decided to see if the book, The Dream Oracle, gave any insight into my dreams. I did not have to wait long.

It was 3 a.m., I had just "enjoyed" one of my most recent nightmares. I won't go into great detail other than to say my horror involved large knives. After, sleep did not come easy. I had to carry out the ritual - checking under the bed, in the wardrobe, spare room, in fact the entire house - just in case.

I was exhausted the next morning, but couldn't get the dream out of my mind, so when I got in to work, I picked up the book and started reading."

Lorraine explained that, because of the sheer number of knives in her dream, she knew immediately which Dream Oracle code to read, and that the theme of the message was allied to karma - what goes around comes around.

The dream code in the book went on to interpret the message. "If you have been suffering patiently in silence at the hands of somebody who has been getting away with injustice too long, your dream is telling you to hang on a little longer, because the wheel of karma is about to turn full circle on him or her………..etc. etc.

Lorraine said the message was significant and meaningful.

MORE RECENTLY

11th January 1999, David Melbourne (Co -author of The Dream Oracle) was invited to do an in depth interview about dreams for South Africa FM's leading national programme, "Total Exposure", presented by John Richards. Inevitably, The Dream Oracle came up in conversation. David explained that early tests show that a staggering 75 to 80% percent of people experience a coded dream during the first night. "This sort of level of success," he explained, "is virtually unheard of in psychology."

Then, to David's delight, the famous radio presenter and celebrity announced - on air - that he too had read The Dream Oracle and had a coded message the first night. He went on to explain that he knew immediately upon waking that he had experienced a dream on the theme of repentance. When he read the relevant text in the book, he acknowledged that it provided an unmistakable, significant and timely message for him.
